More new locksmiths.

It's been a busy 6 months! We have trained and certified more than 20 locksmiths who are all using their new skills to earn some extra money. We have also trained a large number of Wolverhampton council workers who can now pick council tenants' locks as opposed to just destroying them all with a drill. The feedback from our customers has been outstanding and we are looking forward to training our next pupils.

August so far

Had a slow start to the month, things at the locksmith training school picking up now, thanks to all for picking ajam locksmiths, Ive sold a few safes and picked a couple open, but had to drill a lips lock on a chubb safe ,not too proud of that one.

Misted double glazing

We offer window and door repair services as well as locksmith services. We tend to get quizzed about misted double glazing when on lockout jobs. Basically if a double glazing unit becomes misted then it means the seal has failed and is now letting in air which in turn causes condensation to form inside the glass. There are some DIY drilling methods of combating this build up of water but these methods do render the windows rather useless in regards to insulation (which is one of the main reasons for having double glazing in the first place).  Replacing the misted glass is something we recommend as it will restore full health to your double glazing and eliminate the eyesore of the dirty looking misted glass (which can devalue your property).

Old safes and treasure hunters

Today I was given an old safe by a customer who just wanted to know what was inside it. So I picked the safe open and all was revealed..........It was empty! I have opened many old and mysterious safes for many excited customers who expect to uncover a fortune but it's always the same story. However, I once opened a huge safe in an old pub which contained a single 5 pence piece.

I usually just make keys for these old safes and sell them on, I think I'll keep this particular safe for my shop ;)
